Good morning all, another sweaty day. Getting used to the heat, while still loving these "winters", in east TN. Hoping for dry the next couple of days. Will Ted the hay later today. I hope.

Stay safe and hydrated!

What’s up with the Exploder?

It's a used pos I did an inspection on like 3 months ago. I told them to punt it to auction. They sold it.
Now it's in for a check engine light.
For some reason I cannot understand, when people but a used car from a dealer they seem to think it's new and that we are expected to fix everything that fails for the rest of that vehicles life.
It's a used car. Want new? Buy new. Or GFY.

Some days you're the bug, some days you're the windshield. Hit this on my ride in today. View attachment 384860

How many days is a normal Camaro alignment ? Asking for a friend
35 minutes
Is it a rookie or something? Why would they give a car like that to a rookie to work on
He went to an 8 hour Hunter alignment school.
Has anyone looked underneath to see if the frame is straight? I hope the customer isn't paying by the hour and I feel for the moron getting paid piece work on it...
It's because he doesn't know what he's doing.
He has no clue what caster and camber actually are and how to apply them. It's simple shims on a short/long arm suspension. The computer will tell you what shims to add/remove, but he doesn't know that and won't ask.
I could tell where shims needed to goby looking at the actual angles.
Whatever. I think management needs a good glimpse into the future of auto repair.
