I don't know anything about the JD 2355, before you jump in I would try to search for problems/troubleshooting.

All tractors have one weakness or another, the newer ones have a lot of electronic problems.
My MF 4355 from 03 is a bit known for blowing the turbo because it is a light tractor with 95hp, and the farmers had an easy time driving heavy loads because it felt stronger than the size of the engine.

1990 model 2355

I have a 2355 that has been used for rowcropping, bushhogging etc. They are a solid model.
A neighbor has one that has 11,000 hours of hard farming on it. It is still working as his primary for his farm.
Both of these do not have the cab , front bucket , or 4 wheel drive.
I have had no issues in the 20 years i have owned mine other than the new fuel growing crap in the tank.
The 2355s seem to be sought after around here. I have 2 standing offers to buy mine if i ever want to sell it.
We don't see many 4 wheel drives for sale in the 2355 series, people don't want to sell them.
