My grandfather came home yesterday and he's probably down to his last hours. He was drinking scotch and telling jokes last night. He was good when he went to bed last night. Since this morning he hasn't been conscious. He did pop up for a minute and said "I'm good", was kinda funny. All 8 of his kids are here and he's comfortable. It's tough but I think it's about the best way anyone could possibly go.

His attitude about it is awesome - drinking and cracking jokes is way better than the alternatives. Sorry to hear about it though.. My grandpa was taken by ambulance to the hospital day before last - suffered a heart attack. He was able to take Nitro pills and buy some time. That likely saved him for now. He’s 93.

I know I should not have given a thumbs up, but I am all about going out on one's own terms. Glad he is surrounded by those that love him. I am sorry for what you have to deal with. Hang in there.
