We walked the dogs down the road yesterday evening and Koda walked through the grass in the ditch for maybe 20 yards. We pulled 7 ticks off him when we got home.
At least they are visible on him. Damn near impossible to find on Annie.

It’s a part of life here, you go outside, you’re gonna get ticks guaranteed, mostly wood ticks, but some deer ticks as well. Get around 5 on me per day, June is the worst and a day in the woods in June I can have 10-20 in a day. Spraying bottom of pants and boots with deet helps deter them from pursing once they latch on but not always.
