Pretty cool! How long did it take you to make friends with him?
Not too long, sit still with some sunflower seeds and once they land a few times you’re friends lol. He’s been around for 3 years now. Sometimes will land on me when I’m walking around. One will teach others it’s okay to land as well.

Sadly we've reached a point where everything is political. The media ain't in the news business anymore. They're in the politics business. They drill down hour after hour on whatever the talking point of the day is, and they bring on politicians and political pundits to help them drive home each and every point. Day after day.... 24/7 until they have convinced the viewers that this thing they railed against is the biggest threat facing our great nation and only this guy here can fix it. They use boogie men, key words, repetition, in a never ending brainwashing process. If you watch one version, everyone on the right is only interested in this one bad thing, and only the left can fix it. The opposite is true if you watch the other. I'm nearly 60 years old, and I've never seen this sort of division before. The powers that be are keeping us distracted by woke, lawlessness, trans, Russia, abortion, etc, etc.

I'm just sick of it all.

One thing that has never made much sense to me, is how much people fight about R&P. So it makes complete sense to me why both are forbidden subjects on this forum. I think it's completely stupid how those two subjects have destroyed and caused divisions among family & supposed friends.

If you want to argue about something, lets argue about whether firewood should be stacked east to west, or north to south for optimal drying, of if bark up or bark down is best for seasoning it the fastest? Or would could fight over something really humorous, like Husky vs Stihl and which is better..... Lol

I know two brothers that live about 40 miles from me, they have not talked to each other in over 30 years. All because of a difference in opinion on those two subjects. I've heard both sides of the story from each of them, and I told them both they are idiots for letting something so silly cause that division. They live about 1 mile from each other, they each farm several sections of ground right across the road from each other, but they will not talk to one another, all because they no longer have the same views on R&P as they did when they were younger. That's what I call stupidity.

I know people that I can have open logical adult discussions with, if I feel the need to. And no one raises their voice, or walks away all butt hurt just cause we all don't see things the same way. But I realize that's not the norm when discussing those subjects.

Doing some digging on the Mercruiser engine we got yesterday. Mid 80s 350 crate engine seems to be what they used. It's a 4 barrel, Qjet, 4 bolt main block, cast crank, cast dish style pistons, flat tappet cam, made in Mexico heads with 76cc chambers and 1.94 valves.

Absolutely nothing special about it. Surprisingly, it doesn't have any wear on the piston skirts, or bore.

Shouldn't you be repairing/porting saws?

Not playing round with bowties.....
