i tend to agree for the most part. but honestly i prefer the whole forced labor thing to execution. i cant imagine a worse punishment than paving roads for free. until you die.
we have lots of problems in this country that could be helped by using the “labor force” available in our prison system. like our entire constitution and bill of rights, our 8th ammendement needs updated. “cruel and unusual” punishment is subjective. why the f do murderers and rapists have more rights than their victims?

I agree with you Cus. I've thought about this quite a bit and I'm really not in favor of the death penalty. But I'm sure as hell not in favor of letting people sit in prison while they live off the taxpayers for the rest of their lives, either. Pave roads, dig ditches, whatever. New policy should be, if you don't work, you don't eat.

Got to make some chainsaw noise today. Had this Plum tree in the front that was split and rotted all the way down the middle of the trunk. I liked it but it was overgrown and was gonna fall on its own before long.

The snow has drifted and that's the porch roof. Completely understandable since you have probably never experienced it.

I've never actually seen that much snow at one time and do not care to!!!

That's the porch roof, and it's a wind driven cornice or drift coming off of it.

Cornices often defy gravity, and hang out over nothing. Then collapse at anytime.

It makes me ask, even though a lot of mistakes have clearly been made in the case, aren't there DNA traces?

Barney Fife (local sheriff at the time) completely jacked that investigation up. That's why he's no longer sheriff round here. He didn't suspect fowl play, so he never really got into getting DNA, prints etc. Then he released the scene, by the time he figured out what happened it was too late to get evidence.

Local newspaper had a article saying he should of called in the state authorities for help, or someone with more experience in those situations, before he released the scene. He was a fine cop for writing tickets, etc, he was poor at best for handing a murder investigation.

Thank you kindly. I still live with my folks so it's really their place but I handle most of the yard work and maintenance stuff. I'm hoping to put a small flowering cherry in place of that tree. I need to get a pallet of mulch and get the flowerbeds squared away.
