Afternoon folks. Been busting my ass on my grandfather's Buick this weekend. The cold garage and welder throwing a fit hasn't helped any. @dall helped me figure out some of the welder issues yesterday. Drivers side is basically done, passenger side is seam sealed and primed.

I don't climb *s-word
haven't climbed a tree since 1977
So my friend did it
He started yesterday and I guess he dropped a limb and it knocked the homeowner's false teeth outIMG_20230305_134827065_HDR.jpg
He caught the false teeth in his hand before they hit the ground
I thought that was rather impressive.

I have to brag on my friends
One of them heard about a 90 year old woman who lives alone
Her power pole snapped off during fridays storm.
So he brought a new pole he had and I found some post hole digger's and another friend brought his tractors auger
6 of us had the pole in
In 20 minutes.IMG_20230305_183906007.jpg
That pole is from 1981
Another friend is going to wire up a new meter and disconnect box.
And I can borrow a impact that drives the 10ft ground rods in
Code is 2 rods now.

Evening fellas. Dicked with saws and stuff today. Buzzed up a little firewood for the shop. Been a pretty quiet weekend here.
One of the guy's put a 281 or 288 in my truck he wants it fixed
Looks like sheet metal screws holding the recoil on and there's
Liquid steel all over the tank
No compression
Sentimental saw he says.

Drove a lot of ground rods with an electric jackhammer.
You can do it by hand with a capfull or two of water if the ground isnt too wet.
Just poke a hole with the tip of the rod, pour in a capfull of water, and keep jabbing the rod in the hole. Wiggle it to keep it from sticking. When it stops going, put another capfull of water in and repeat.
Can get it down to about 7' that way, then hammer it on home.
Lot less work than swinging a hammer the whole way.
I know, some of you sick fuchs just got a semi... :squezer:
Anyhoo, damn good on you Dave for helping out folks who can't.

Those fuggin mirrors are ridiculous from GM.
Around $400 each.
I don't think the inner parts got broken so I can order new glass vs a whole mirror.

I had to buy glass for one of my gay ass dodge tow mirrors last winter.

It was cheaper then the whole mirror.
