A lot of audiophiles prefer it to digital & even vinyl.

The coast there provides nearly all the employment so everyone has access to wood.
But it's nowhere as cold as where you lot live so only so much can get burnt that way.

My dad has an old Akai reel to reel he got when he was over there.
I remember waking up on Sunday mornings and jumping in the bed with them while Merle Haggard or Jefferson airplane or something like that was playing. Had all kinds of cool old music he recorded off AFR.
Its still there as far as I know. Would be cool to get it out and see if it still works.

Cinderella opened for then.
Prolly top 3 shows I've ever seen (& I've seen ABUNCH).
80k people.
It was @ a Indy 500 speedway (OKC used to have one).
CRAZY party in the parking lot!
Largest crowd I've ever been in.
We had to stay in a motel about 40 miles outside of OKC because there wasn't a hotel room to be found.
