Had to go over to hangar 82 for a little bit after lunch...from across the hangar floor I spy a feller heading my way wearing a West Vaginie shirt. Bad receding hairline, hardly any hair on top except at the crown of his head, and lo and behold, that little patch was in a f'ng man bun. I asked this super dork if he had a brother named Dallas... 😆
you are lucky he didnt whip the old mans ass and you are still able to type

or are you typing from hospital now ??

Is it as bad as they are saying or is it blown out of proportion by media?
Nah it's bad Eduardo. 6 feet of silt in some places. Umpteen bridges washed out by 'beaver dams' building up upstream. Clay slips.
NZ is hilly as, so there's often only one road hanging off the side of hills to places. Those same hills throw the pines and slash to the bottom, and well....

That sucks.
Sometimes when a guy sees stuff like this one has to hope there's just a bit of overzealous reporting going on

The media is always blowing things out of proportion but there is usually an element of truth to it. If you take the story the logging companies tell, and the story the media tells, then find someplace near the middle of the two tales, that's where the truth is.

Back in 2002 there was a wild fire that hit the west side of glenwood springs CO, news and other media reported all of west glenwood was a total loss, consumed by the fire, ford dealer, glenwood mall, the new sheriff dept, and about 60 homes all gone, is what the news reported.

We had just finished all the drywall at the new sheriff dept, we had started hanging on a few new houses across the river in a new subdivision. From what they said on the news I figured it was all burned up, gone.

Few days afterwards when they allowed people back in the area, ford dealer was still there, so was the mall, and the sheriff dept, etc, all were completely untouched by the fire, in fact the fire didn't even get near them. The fire did burn about 29 houses, but the devastation was, no where near what they said on the news.

About to change oil in the wife’s Jeep. Jammin to Damn Yankees and Great White among other great 80’s/90’s rock.
I saw Great White in '94 in Anaheim, California.
