My shooting is predominantly from a bench for competition. I use an adjustable front rest and rear bag to get dead on. Rifles behavior changes depending on how its held, what surface you are shooting on ect. Changing from a bipod to the rest allowed me to be more consistent because I don't have the legs "stuttering" across the bench surface changing the harmonics. In a hunting rifle with deer accuracy you don't notice these things, at least I don't, but in a sub 1/4 minute rifle you notice everything.

I've never once regretted acquiring the tools and knowledge required to do something for muself. Even if its something new. The money saved not paying someone else and the knowledge gained to do it for equal result makes it an easy decision.
