had to change a coil on my cousins 361 because it wouldnt shut off with the switch
even used a ohm meter on the wires to make sure they wasnt broken and a new coil fixed it

That’s not a common failure. I’m fairly certain mine is just the switch assy, but I’ll keep an eye out for that.

I ordered a puller that should do the job properly but I'll probably go the Dremel route for this one. Loggers saw and it needs to be back in action asap....

I have a 1300 coil off of a 044 that won't shut off. First one I've seen like that.

I have a 1300 coil off of a 044 that won't shut off. First one I've seen like that.

i looked over the wires and didnt see a break in a wire and connections of switch looked good
so i ohmed the wires at coil and it showed switch was good and wires was good
put a new coil on and it shut off at switch again
so i figured something inside the coil went bad
