Well said Ed.
I will do some asking tomorrow. I know some people in the business. Not sure how many million bird operation it is and that is just in my area. They have at least two or three other areas with production. I do know that their Colorado site tested positive and they had to do a complete kill there last year. I am not sure if they are up and running yet, but USDA required a several month shut down and disinfection of the entire site.I heard egg production is down 18% and prices went up 138% WTH

Rich people.
While I agree to a point, a speed density throttle body would require an old timer at this point. You may know it well, but are the tools still available to flash an ecm? Even in my industry, there is a limit even for what we can get parts for. I figure they probably cover all OBD2, but fall short on the OBD1 stuff. I may be wrong.
lol your not the only oneI must be old...lol
I could tear that thing apart with my eyes closed
No doubt, but how many of your colleagues could troubleshoot the efi? Remember my 10-60-30 rule? I am not talking about the excellent 10%. What percentage of the techs in your dealership could do it?I must be old...lol

Not informed of this situation at all, so just a bystanders opinion at best.I will do some asking tomorrow. I know some people in the business. Doesnt appear to be a "rich" persons truck at all Ed.More like who knew there was still an 88 in WI that hadn't completely rusted away to nothing.
I don't think he was rich.
At least it didn't appear to be a rich person's truck.

To a certain extent I can agree with you but I also sometimes question the "don't take it to the dealer" mentality. Sure, they can have some shady hack aśs guys, as I well know, but we also have resources to fall back on (the asšholes who built it) when necessary.
And I'm not talking myself up, but I'd wager I know the inside and out of the Gernerals piles of shìt better than Jethro the adjustable wrench down the road because that's 95% of what I work on and go to factory training on.
Same goes for all manufacturers.
You could get lucky and find a shop with a mf'er like @Steve who works there and can dig into anything and make it right, but guys like him who excel at their craft and will do it the right way are few and far between. Unfortunately..
That’sSlackers.

Maybe some ole feller thats heard there might be a feller that actually knows how to work on chit at their local dealership.
Does appear to be a vehicle that was reasonably well cared for, considering yalls winter environment.
Mebbe you has started to develope a following?
If I was hard up and HAD to drive a GM product, I would definitely go out of my way to get you to work on it.
Mainly because I dont fuggin want to...![]()
wto...well its been reasonably cared for, as evidenced by the fuggin underhood lamp that still fuggin works...More like who knew there was still an 88 in WI that hadn't completely rusted away to nothing.

Having some winter jack Tennessee cider here
Adam Likes This.Since the academia snobs were too afraid to go to work today, I went out to the junkyard and pulled two decent fenders for the Buick. They have a little surface rust on the very bottom but nothing horrible. They gotta get painted anyways.
