My grandfather amd father have been Chevrolet fans forever.
My dad had a 1967 Dudge D100 LWB in baby chit yellow with the 225 "leaning tower of NO power" when I was a kid.
I actually loved that old truck, just for the memories of hunting trips we went on and stuff a young kid likes.
He finally got rid of that and got a 1987 Dudge that my brother took over.
Finally bought himself a brand new Chebby in 2013.
Still has my grandads 1974 Chebby pickup. Bare bones. Only "upgrade " on that one is a 350 SBC. 3 "on the tree". No power anything, except brakes.
He also has an 86 Silverado 4 x 4 that runs like chit with a clapped out 305 and more Bondo than a well-stocked Oreillies.
Ive about given up on having time to take the 350 out of "paw-paws" truck and swap it into the 86, but "maybe one day"...

My first car had a slant 6. Cold blooded. You'd spend all winter in 1st to keep it going.

my oldest is playin today too. 3rd grade. its actually quite a bit more entertaining that i wouldve thought.

I find it to be comical, a learning experience, and much more relaxing than when they wrestle. If you want to experience a high intensity, parent yelling, testosterone filled atmosphere, go to a youth wrestling tournament. It'll blow your mind the amount of STUPID crazy patents that you'll see. Yes, I'll be in their midst, lol.
