Hey Ed, what's the trench report on the 2.7L 4 bangers that GM has been putting in the full size trucks for a few years now? Haven't heard much about them since they were introduced. I was passing time on Autotrader and it looked like nearly half of the new 1/2 ton GM trucks listed have the 4 cyl.

How’s lord of the wrenches been making out haven’t heard any complaints toward him lately lol

He's still a thieving twat of the highest order.
I try to avoid him as he makes me want to stab him with my boot.

Evap purge pump failures, but thats a part problem and used on a bunch of engines.
A few water control valves (2).
A few high mileage PCV oil separator oil leak at the rear of the cylinder head.

That's it really. Turbocharged, sliding camshafts, active fuel management..I expected these the blow up left and right but they've been a reliable engine.
The 4cyl sound is weird from a full size truck though.

I can say we have several of those trucks in our PSR fleet and the guys like em. Pretty responsive from what I've heard with fuel mileage in a 1500. That says something. Dang did I just say that. Please forgive overseer of the Ferd almighty.
