Since we're on the subject of high perf vans, I lost a brake pad lining this morning on the way to the job, leaving only the backing to chew the shít out of the rotor pretty bad. Had a set of cheap pads in the shed so performed a little hackery to get me by till the weekend

Unless it's under minimum thickness, run the bish. Brake drums and rotors used to get machined all the time until everyone just went part swap happy. I still do it.

Fellas I got sho nuff lucky this morning…knock on wood kinda lucky. Several cities and counties got nailed with pop up/hit and miss tornados this morning. An F1 hit the ground west of my house less than half a mile…hit the ground running then came off the ground, hit the ground again twice more before landing about a hundred feet or so from my home/yard. Then it popped back up in the air and headed north of my place. It snapped three power poles side by side by side across the road at the west end of my place and the farthest of these three poles is about 250 feet from my backyard. It got a good part of my privacy fence on the west end of my place but zero damage to the house, yard trees, etc. I bet it got a dozen or better trees out of the wooded property that adjoins the shoulder of the road where it got the three power poles. Saw some pics and it tore several homes all to hell roof-wise and whatnot just streets from me while it was bouncing around, doing its’ thing. Guess I was lucky to be just on the outer edge of it somehow.

I’ll take the little bit of damage it did here at my place all day long…beats the hell outta the alternative I could’ve faced. I’ll get the entire length of fence on the west side replaced with homeowners and be done with that…$500 deductible and I’ll rebuild it, get the materials on the discount and pocket the labor.

I base it off how good the food is. I've been in some legit dive bars that had some of the best food I've ever had.

I'm strictly talking fast food. I don't have 20 minutes to wait around for a fuggin burger when I'm on my lunch break. Not pointing any fingers... Wendy's.

idiocracy, if u havent seen it u gotta check it out
Steve chirped in, Harvey’s up here but about the only place I see them anymore is airport food courts.

I’ve been to a handful of states, never rang a bell though
I did try White Castle that was good
You guys got tim hortons yet? Heard that was moving south
Timmy Ho’s is straight garbage. Their food is all disgusting and McDonalds has better coffee.

I agree that Timmies isn't the same or nearly as good lately, stopped at a couple this fall while spending an extended week north of the border, and IMO there are much better options, at least during our travels.
This man knows a thing or two.

I wish I could offer a good option but my dietary requirements preclude most fast foods joints. I prefer the locals when I can. Stopped for some cinnamon salt fries for the ride home today.

Our Wendy's closed probably 15 years ago because their service sucked so bad. Good burgers, shìtty service.
In fact all the fast food places here suck as far as service goes.
I stopped at KFC by request of my girls a few weeks ago. They told me 30 minute wait for a 12pc bucket...

Lol…I’d of been a real ill boy had my grills took to the air and disappeared. They survived somehow but it did get the covers off a couple but the covers landed up against the shop and at least stayed in the backyard.

They closed a couple Wendy's around here for the same reason. I actually liked their food but the service is absolutely atrocious and the restaurants were disgusting inside. I haven't been to one locally in years. Fast food service has really taken a hit in the last several years.

What is the best fast food restaurant in your opinion? I ask this to anyone and everyone.

subway

then A&W for me
wendys
east of chicago pizza

There's nobody who deserves groupies more than Mastermind deserves to have groupies. Convince me I'm wrong.
well theres the slacker

You left Canada did you ?
he was smart

Any more I don't pick places based on the food, I pick based on the cleanliness and how fast the service is.

That said Jersey Mike's is always clean and fast and the sammiches are pretty gooder.
jersey mikes is good along with jimmy johns

I gotta say Arby’s followed by Culvers, then A&W..

As far as Subway, I cannot eat lettuce, so I almost always get a meatball sub with pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan, toasted.. And when it was offered, the Cuban Pulled pork sandwich which was pulled pork, ham, pickles, and mustard. That’s it, and that’s all it needed!

Glad to hear it wasn’t worse. The news up here was talking about a tornado outbreak down south somewheres..
