This is one of my homies kids, he's a relic of another time..he's 11 and he'd bury most grown ass men when it comes to using a saw and splitting firewood..but he's the exception..not the rule.

He told me today gloves are for pussies...lol.
Probably shaping him by letting him watch reruns of the Steelers in the 1970's with Lambert and Ham punishing opposing teams.

He doesn't get babied...at all, he likes motorcycles, dump trucks, chippers, chainsaws, firewood and football..that's about it.

He works with us in the summer when he's not at football practice and over Christmas break. He's basically my nephew..I'm proud of him.

Good morning dudes. Currently 1 with a high of 4 expected. Plan is to butcher deer today. Getting conflicting predictions for the upcoming winter storm - some are saying 2-4” total and I’ve also heard 8-12”. Seems to me weather was more accurate and agreeable 5 years ago.

Everyone is afraid of being wrong these days.

I'm proud of him.

You should be.

Good morning fellas. Finally slowed down enough this morning to get on here and see what you guys are all up to.

My grandson needed a couple of days off to help a friend....and I'm several saws ahead of him. So rather than get further ahead, I'm sorta chilling out and relaxing.

That's what I'm up to.

Working from home today. Trying to sail a few more saws I can let go of. Couple more 359's and another 2159.

Did someone log that like 25 year ago? Just curious from the stump sprouting as it’s indicator to me

maybe 10yrs ago.. it was cut and they sprout like they been coppiced, very hard to kill them.
The hill has sheep on there now, the last 2 or 3yrs They should nibble all the new growth and hopefully they will give up and die.

Those suckers never give up and if you let them win you waste a lot of good tree space to them as they grow out like bushes. Happens with our red maple here. Usually the deer will eat the sprouts though like candy
