What a day - pulled the starter from the skidder because that decided to go to hell, then went to town to have it checked out. Can’t be rebuilt so ordered a new one, be here Wednesday (hopefully). One of them days when the moneys leaving faster than it’s coming in. At least I didn’t get too cold pulling it out today. Thank you Carhartt...

Baking is something my Mom used to do for the neighbors. So when we moved into the neighborhood 7 years ago we used it as a way to meet our neighbors. It’s turned into kind of a tradition (save 20/21 when everyone had lost their minds) that I didn’t want to stop, everyone enjoys it although the time to do it all seems to be shrinking.
Here is how silly it was before we paused….Missing are home made caramels that were cooling.

Anyone who owns a Jeep has my pity. Looking at you @Dream.
Stealing one before it gets purchased is a public service.
But this one is all fancied out n stuff. For $50k you can have a v8 4x4 rollerskate that can drive over small rocks n such

I lost one of my good friends last Wednesday, I only have a couple of them. (I wasn't going to say anything on here, but it's been pulling on me hard the last few days)

We'd know each other just shy of 30 years.

All the years I knew him, we never had cross words, even once! Even if we did not agree with each other, over a difference of opinion, we never got cross, or had heated words about it.

He had been battling pulmonary fibrosis, the last few years. For the last 11 months he was bedridden, and on a lot of meds, ventilator, etc, I know from talking with him last month he was ready for the battle to be over.

RIP my old friend, I'm going to miss our conversations, and all the guidance & direction you gave me over the years. All the fun times we had, chasing down old dodges, around the USA. Thank you for your service to our country in Vietnam.

That's Gerry, on the fair right in this picture, at the Vintage Power Wagon Rally 2014.

And John one of my other close friends in the middle.

Sucks dude, sorry for your loss. They know the stuff is coming in the country, and they let it. I hope they rot in hell.

You have good memories, keep those and discard the bad ending. Had to watch my FIL starve himself to death as he was tired of struggling for breath. Same diagnosis, pulmonary fibrosis. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks!

Gerry would give you the shirt off his back, even if you didn't ask for it.

1999 I was on a trip back from WY headed to WI, lost the injection pump on my cummins, 10:30 pm near the Quad cites, I called him up to let him know I wasn't going to make it to his place by morning like planned.

I never even asked him to come get me, he said just sit tight I'm tying my shoes and I'll head out. 3 am he got to where I was broken down at in Iowa. That's the kinda friend he was. Never an excuse, always there.

I tired hard, all the years I knew him, to to repay it. Not sure if I ever did.

Share this with them young ones that hang with you Ryan. Never used to be this way with weed. Times have changed and hopefully you can get that point across to some of them early in their life challenges.

Take that leadership and friendship he shared with you and hand that down to some of your younger followers. I see you gotz saws, Dodges, and tractors. I'm sure you got some young mans interest somewhere. Sorry for the losses you both have.

I'm not a weed smoker but the people I know that are said you'd have to be an idiot to buy a bag of weed off the streets these days.

@sawmikaze
Was not meant to be. When I hear about stuff like weed laced with dangerous stuff, that kills, I get mad. I probably should have worded my comment differently. I am truly sorry for the loss. I mean those responsible for allowing the stuff to be imported. My bad.
