372 and t540 most likely. I gotta climb and limb the one before I can take it down. I'm not a climber nor do I have any gear but that's how it's gotta happen. Shouldn't be a big deal 40-50 ft tall.

I have all sorts of good climbing gear. I need to sell it. I'm never gonna climb again.

Sorry to hear about this.
Dang little Mazda bastids...

Yeah....no fun to work on.

You got that backwards. All mazda trucks since the early 90's are ford built rangers. Still run Mazda manuals in them though. Well, did.

Wont be the first time.:p
I just remember the Ford Courier from the 80s was a Mazda trans and motor. Had an 83 Ranger. I do remember it having a Mazda Trans and a Ferd Pinto 2.0 liter motor.

Yup. Couriers were rebadged Mazda trucks. The earliest rangers even could be had with a Mazda diesel then a Mitsubishi I think. 94 Mazda trucks were done here. Rebadged rangers with a bit different box styling.

Big thing is you should be tied off twice if your running a chainsaw. That's typically a lanyard (buck strap ifn your ol school) and a life line.

Back when I started it was common to spike up with just the sissy strap and cut every limb as you went. Then set your life line with Blake's hitch and descend. That's how I took my first and only tumble out of a tree. Buck strap let go(3 strand manila). It just disintegrated like it was dry rotted or something, and I ended up free falling 20ish feet into a bed of pine duff. The duff saved my keister from serious injury. Took me a long time to get over that fall.
