She is healing pretty well.....but has a long way to go. She can't talk very well at all. They took out a lot of the muscles that control her tongue. That's frustrating of course. She has a feeding tube in, and will have for awhile. Her sisters are visiting her, and taking good care of her.....

Morning men, slept in to 6:30 this morning. Did the animal care solo in prep for next week, when I am going to be entrusted with the care of the farm. Sending the wife and daughter up north to visit relatives for a week. She wanted to make sure I do it correctly before she goes.

Luckiest damn animals on the p!anet. My neighbors already said if they got reincarnated, they would want to be any animal on my farm. Spoilt is what they are.

I did pass my test. She is satisfied they will at least survive while she is gone. Lol

I sold my mothers house for a lot more than anyone figured it was worth so the wife and i have decided to put the drycleaners up for sale and retire.
We can't find employees and business volume is not enough to make any real profit or replace some older equipment. Getting a loan on equipment makes no sense at 63 years old anyway.
I figure i can work on old equipment and go broke working on the farm with no employees to deal with.

I have made a small fortune farming, problem is I started with a larger fortune. Picking up an old Farmall Cub that is stuck just because. Enjoy your semi-retirement. Remember to keep busy, those that don't, don't last that long.

There is spoiling, and then there is Cathy spoiling. She takes it to a whole new level. I am glad though, and am lucky for it. She spoils me too.

Very true.
The only equipment that i bought new was a disc harrow. Everything else was bought used, at auction then repaired.
I enjoyed spending time at the farm equipment auction. The old equipment, tractors etc as well as talking to the old farmers.

As much as I needed to sleep in the dog had other ideas. The Mrs was a rack star looking after the fam all week so I am letting her sleep and I am up.

Cough must have been harder on the boy than we thought.
Fast asleep not even ten minutes after the game finished.

My kids all did that, a million miles an hour, then crash, then back to a million miles an hour. I wish I could bottle the energy. We all slow down, my bursts are not that fast. Enjoy them before they graduate from medical school, which is not far away.
