Thats okay I'll drive the Dodge. Been doing a bunch of work to that thing too. Pulled the carpet out, welded in a couple patch panels and painted the floor. Pressure washed the carpet and got it as clean as it will ever be.

Found a rust free tailgate that was the right color on Craigslist. Polished it up nice and put it on.

Replaced the master cylinder.

Replaced the u-joints in the front axle.

Got the A/C working, replaced the oil in both differentials, adjusted the rear brakes, fixed the keyless entry. Its gonna need ball joints onnthe passenger side and a tire rod eventually but they aren't dire yet.

@Kiwioilboiler … Adam, catch one and enjoy the fight for me… :b1:

then cook it and tell me how good it was o_O

I hope your truck works as it should after you put the time and effort into fixing it.
(Your Toy truck is a real truck. In my eyes;)…. I was only jesting it’s a toy last time)
It is a toy Sean, I reckon it would fit in the bed of the 2500 3500 boys trucks. Even a F150 makes it look small.

Thoughts and prayers sent for Melissa Boss man. Deep rooted family support time my man!

Prayers sent for your sister in law Melissa. Keep drinking too. Hate that cancer. Stay positive.

Thank you fellas. We just got home from visiting with her and her husband Doyle. She's in good spirits. Made a huge banana pudding and sent some home with us.

Woot Woot! :applaudit:

Doyle found the title for the old truck.

He bought it in May of 86, put about 1000 miles on it hauling pallet length logs on it out of a hole that he was turning into a pond. Tore a brake line off of it, and parked it. It's been in the same spot for 32 years. When Bubba first talked to Doyle about getting the truck from him, he said he figured it had been sitting there for about ten years. LOL

As soon as they went to that I beem front suspension I didn’t like them
I like me a solid axle

Not a fan of the twin beam stuff either.
1979 was the last year of the solid front axle in the 1/2 tons.
The 3/4 tons and up still had solid axles last time I checked though.

Nope, 3/4 tons used the twin beams too, although they used leaf springs in the front instead of coils. As much as everyone complains about them I never had an issue with the one I had. Ride really wasn't any better than a solid axle though.

3/4 tons too, finally went away with the advent of the Super Duty.
