I was raised dirt arse poor. Found out later we actually had a little bit more money, but dad wanted us to know how to be a decent person and not feel like we were better than anybody else.
Not rich by any standards, but lived like we had nothing. I'm glad he did that. He never thought he was better than anybody else, just wanted to make sure he could take care of his family. I get *s-worde from Susan sometimes because she thinks he should have given us a little more, and she thinks hes selfish and greedy.
He never intended that. He could have given us more things, but does anybodys kid really appreciate more crap? Nope. Just expect more.

This salsa we made tonight. A recipe from my friend's dad. OMFG. I love hot *s-word and this isn't. I'd wreck a bag of chips on a pint of this and call it supper. We only made nine pints tonight and I'm going to press for another round.
