Son stopped by and I asked him WTF’s up with those headlights…we gave ‘em a 30 minute transformation and that included time for two coats of clear UV protectant.

What is this clear UV protectant you speak of? And how long does it last?

What is this clear UV protectant you speak of? And how long does it last?

I use Meguiar's Keep Clear headlight UV protectant (black squeeze bottle with light brown liquid), smells just like sun tan lotion...goes on clear though. Don't know if you can find it in this bottle anymore but I do know they make the same in a light blue, 4-6oz or so, little aerosol spray can now.

I get 10-12 months out of my headlights easily before they need to be done again. If you don't use the uv protectant, headlight plastic will look good for about one to three months at best, and you'll be right back where you started with heavily hazed headlights.
