Damn slackers
I hate that greasy and thawing like it is doing now here in Maine. I have done a lot of welding with my Miller Legend in less than dry conditions. Going to be 9 Tonite so everything should get nice and dry and crunchy. I have a hose I wanted to get up from under the snow but even the 50 temps with rain and wind is not going to get rid of enough snow. Was out hammering up blocks of wood near driveway so I do not bust the plow truck frame hitting them while frozen. I can not stay inside even when it is crappy out because I get cabin fever big time and easily.Morning/evening fellars
From 8 to 48 today
Get the cows taken care of while frozen then play with welder when its thawing and greasy out

I like this...doing something similar myself. Life is short and working any shift, any location, six days and nights around Boston for years got to me.Life is precious, and you never know when it is time. My wife and I watched coworkers retire to die, so we decided we would do what we needed to live our dream of having a farm, before we retired. We did, and all I can say is I am glad we did. We used to get up and get on the treadmill of life, looking forward to a day when we could stop, and do what we wanted.
It took some sacrifices, like never buying a new car, or only paying with cash for anything. And saving like, slackers. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us. You have some good memories of your friend. Cherish them.
Sorry, your comment reminded me of my mentor, I miss him. His lessons I pass on to this day.
Have a great day peeps.

Got the call last night that a guy that i worked with passed away. Hell of a carpenter and one of the funniest guts out there. Sad thing is he had retired less than a year ago. RIP Steve "Batman" Mathieson.
