Couple layers of tin foil wrapped around a burrito/egg roll under the insulation off to the side is the same as a 450* oven.

Might try to get creative....
Thought it was just us. We use the closed side of a pipe flange isolation spec blind for the same job.

Hypothetically, of course...

No code/spec here. This has about another 12" of weld to build up. A little grease will be long gone lol

Spec for spectacle, not specification.

Imagine a figure eight of thick steel plate. One side solid, the other a large diameter hole. Looks like a funny pair of spectacles.
Flow can pass through the hole, "Open" but not through the solid, "Closed".
We loosen the flange and spin / reverse the spectacle blind to the position required for normal or positively isolated operation.

We also call everything a stupid non-american name....so f knows what it's called there.

glenbern? It’s maybe 8 miles out of Bangor
Greenely is where the lake is for mt katadhin or however it is spelled
It’s been 8 years since I was there
I know where Glenburn is. Years ago I rented to UMaine college students. I live miles out in the wild now alone and it is much more to my liking now that I have gotten older and uglier! Did have a bunch of good times with the college kids and that area. Old Town and Orono have really been developed as well as Bangor...feels like driving around Boston (worked in and around Boston for a decade or so). Glenburn is nice country and EZ drive to Bangor/Old Town/Orono/UMaine.

Evening / Morning All.

Settled in for some slacking, blizzard going to blow through overnight. Only a couple of inches of fresh but winds up to 50 mph will keep it moving around and really suck.
We have wind (40 mph) and rain in Maine and temps supposed to nose dive from 50 to 9 Tonite.

Got the call last night that a guy that i worked with passed away. Hell of a carpenter and one of the funniest guts out there. Sad thing is he had retired less than a year ago. RIP Steve "Batman" Mathieson.

So far it looks like we got lucky and most of the nasty stuff missed us.

Morin all, we’re taking a bit of a battering from storm Eunice this morning, o_O

thr weather guessing peeps have issued a red weather warning and say we could get 70mph winds

I guess we will see…

When did they start naming every damn weather event? Used to be only hurricanes, now it is everything.

Morning all, post wet cool down today, high of 42. Bumping into the 50's this weekend. Looking forward to getting chit done.

Life is precious, and you never know when it is time. My wife and I watched coworkers retire to die, so we decided we would do what we needed to live our dream of having a farm, before we retired. We did, and all I can say is I am glad we did. We used to get up and get on the treadmill of life, looking forward to a day when we could stop, and do what we wanted.

It took some sacrifices, like never buying a new car, or only paying with cash for anything. And saving like, slackers. Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us. You have some good memories of your friend. Cherish them.

Sorry, your comment reminded me of my mentor, I miss him. His lessons I pass on to this day.

Have a great day peeps.
