Morning boys. This thing has been beached for a couple months. From what I can gather. Big storm put it there. Must be waiting on an insurance claim? Can’t imagine what the freakin thing would ever be worth. Floating or beached.42F6829B-5010-4745-A292-997DD5BC3CA0.jpeg

A helicopter pilot I used to work with bought an old 41' sailboat up in B.C. in 2004 for $32k. He towed it down to Portland and spent four years rebuilding/refurbishing it. He did a lot of custom
work to it, re-did all the ornamental hardwood interior parts and had a polished brass girder for the deck made. He sold it to a company owner in Portland in 2009 for $475k.

That’s not a bad day at the office. I could ask around. If you’d be interested?

Don't buy boats that require mooring in the water.
10% of their value every year just in maintenance and hull cleaning and anti-fouling paint and fees and....

My brother had a big off shore fishing boat for years. He kept it stored out of the water. I'm not sure what that service cost him....but I'm sure it wasn't cheap.

I think it’s all depended on….size of boat (sailing or motor) how often you use it & far you live away.
I guess Adam don’t live far from the water (from the pics), he has a 4x4 to put it in and outta the wet stuff..

i don’t live far from the water, and don’t have a 4x4 or a boat so it’s cheaper for me to have friends ;)

there’s no same answer for everyone :)

Our water up here doesn't freeze solid and crush everything in its wake either Sean.
Which is nice.
