Coal is better than firewood, so I wouldn't complain. Here’s what a hard head wedge looks like when it has no more forks to give. Sure hope Santa puts a couple in muh stocking this year instead of the coal I got last year.View attachment 316246

Who’s complaining? Coal isn’t worth a damn as a felling wedge though.Coal is better than firewood, so I wouldn't complain.

Did you check the klixon overloads on the compressor? Prob where your little problem lies.Freezer went out. Just got home with a new one. FML

Oh LordyIt was over 30 years old. It was ready for retirement.
Those were the more gooder ones.It was over 30 years old. It was ready for retirement.
Or in my beer fridges case runs the fan so long that the fan bearings go out. Those were the more gooder ones.
Just blow the dust out of the evaporator coil fins and reset the Klixon overload lile Jason toltya to, and then you'll have DOS freezers for when the new fangledy one chits itself.
Most of the time, the fins just get full of dust bunnies. That makes them not exange heat, and the system pressure builds up til it overloads the compressor and the Klixon takes it out.
9 times outta 10 the klixon overloads are simply broken into pieces…heat is the biggest killer of anything appliance-wise. That’s its’ purpose, to protect the compressor. Those were the more gooder ones.
