Only thing I'm not sure of is that on their tech sheet, Dirko doesnt specifically say gasoline resistant on the red and grey HT.

So, before I found the massive air leak on the little 350, I was in the process of fitting the new 357 intake boot on it.
Already upgraded the carb to a 357 unit, as it was going lean in long cuts.
357 filter adapter and screen air filter, and it should be good to go.

Tree Monkey alone assembled hundreds if not thousands of saws with Dirko, as recommended by Stihl without fail.

In certain places that have pressure/vacuum I fear a non hardening agent like Hylomar will have trouble in a larger spot. It could be unfounded.

If using the 357 boot, a little sealant helps from leaks to form.

I like the 346 boot with a 357 ring stuffed in the end of it and ears trimmed for the 357 flange. Either way will work, it's a pick your poison scenario.

So, it's probably bs but I was told by a neighbor that the local logging / firewood business owner has a trailer full of "worn out saws". I'll be investigating and report back. I'm sure they are one or both of the big two if they exist.
