I fall asleep in the recliner all the time but when i get up and go to bed the mind starts going.

I typically have no problem falling asleep, my problems begin if I wake up during the night, can’t help but start thinking about work and the day ahead.
I guess I should be thankful that the last 2 days it’s been 5:30 to let the dog out, not the 3am it was most of the week.

Morning / Evening All.

if anyone has any tips for quieting your mind after waking up in the night I could use some.

I took 2 Aleve, made a piece of toast with honey to keep the meds from hurting my stomach, and washed that down with a shot of vodka.
That was at 0300 this morning. Doesnt happen a lot, but sometimes my neck problems wake me up. I can usually tune out all the "brain chatter" enough to sleep, but sometimes pain gets me up.

That's what sold us on this house

Our lanai (deck) is 1,300 sq ft of a 2,400 sq ft roof and it wraps around 3 sides

We can see the big island on a clear day 130 miles away, and we see Maui, Lanai, and Kohoolawe all the time

Pictures can't do it justice

Folks come through the house and walk out onto the lanai and just lose it

We were fortunate to know about this house before it ever went on the market

No butt action…St Louis style ribs chillin’ at 275, bottom damper 3/4 closed, top damper 3/4 closed. Can’t find my damn bag of hickory chunks, done got f’d up and hid ‘em from myself, so three little handful/piles of hickory pellets separated from each other, sitting on top of the snake.

I go through .105 Magnum Gator line like it’s licorice

Until we fence the place (if we do) and scrape it down, add topsoil, etc this is what we have
