Yep. Perkins. Two stage clutch. I hate the clutch and brake pedals on these. I had a 135 for years.....

The seat needs fixed. It bottoms out when you plop down in it. That of course makes the clutch feel even worse.

Plus.....good morning.
Nice tractor Randy, I had a MF178 with a loader a few years back and also a couple of 135's both with with the Multipower transmission, which worked well as long as you didn't try going down hill in low range - there's no engine braking! One of the 135's is still mowing grass at the local school I'm involved with. Those Perkins diesels are just about bullet proof and were always reliable starters.

I like tractors :campeon:good score brother looks like the price of porting is going up:risas3:

Again !!!!

There is an internal adjustment on the draught control.
You remove the Control lever on the side of the transmission case to access the block that touches one of the lift control rods.
On the little block there is an adjustment screw.
You need a tool that looks like a wedge that is slid in between the rod/lever and the little block.

This sets the range of the draught control.
It has been 20 years since i have done this but it will help in controling the lift hunting the right level.

You don't need the draught working much when using a bushhog only the lift function is needed.

If i still have the manual i will send you the information.

Gawd i am gettin old, fooling with MF tractors was20+ years ago.

I'd love any information you are willing to share. Thank you.
