I wasn’t knocking Glock, was talking my experience with Taurus and Rossi

Ah, I gotcha. I am not particularly picky when it comes to my firearms; as long as does what I want it to, when I need it to. I own both polymer frame pistols and all-real-metal pistols... Just trying to put my $.02 where it's almost relevant.

I have had good luck with .38 special Taurus revolvers, but you couldn't give me any of their polymer framed pistols. I would trust a Hi Point before trusting a plastic Taurus semiauto.

I only own one pistol. A S&W .40 M&P. It's too large to carry in my opinion......but I rarely feel the need to anyhow. It's main purpose is home protection.....and between it, my shotguns, and my dogs, I think we are covered.

I sense a dislike for kimber haha, I’ll agree my 1911 custom 2 10mm is picky with ammo. But I’ve read lots of 1911’s of any brand are picky. Still rather have a misfeed now and then vs a barrel coming apart.
Nah
I do like my very early 1996 custom I bought when they first started selling pistols
They were 400.00 back then.
What initially turned me against them
Was their customer service
I just needed them to replace the recoil
Spring they butchered when it
Was assembled
No big deal a 4.00 spring
When I called I was accused of trying to rip them off for free parts or some *B-S.....
many people I shot idpa with ran Kimber
And had similar issues with CS
Mostly after the Swartz system and outside extractor were added.
The worst I saw was a commander length
Whatever they call them.
After a few boxes of ammo
The breech face was so soft it concaved in.
Kimber fixed it by grinding the breech face down creating
Very excessive headspace.
I know they make some good stuff
But from what I've seen
They don't support their products well.

I do like a good 1911
A Dan Wesson will be next.

I really hope with the move to Troy Alabama
They'll do better

For 65.00 for a barrel and 20.00 or so for a 9mm mag you can have
17+1 capacity I did this with my full size and my compact.
Also with a .357 sig barrel
You can have 3 guns in one
If ammo gets scarce.

My problem was a .454 raging Bull, if I need a eats anything dead reliable pistol for home defense I’ll grab my cz75 9mm.

There's a damn good gun shop/range in Troy, Al called Family Firearms. Some damn smart folks work there and know a lot about a lot, and you'll usually play hell beating their prices anywhere on the webz, and they will not be beat locally. I myself enjoy the no sales tax with Ga.

Spark plugs are for girls’ trucks

Yep I know. GFM
I always agreed. But now the old reliable diesels are old and $$ and the new ones are unreliable and $$$$$

I might just buy gas. No turbo no injection pump, no intercooler yadda yadda. Less maint and repairs if it blows up.

More likely a 6.No and bulletproof it...
