So.....guy calls. I did his saw in August of 2013. Runs with the air filter off, but not well with it on.

Should I feel obligated to fix it?

Thoughts?

Obligated no sir.
Evaluated, absolutely. That's what you do Boss cause your names on it.
Itemized quote for repair, well, that one's up to you.
Owner pays freight.
Sorry.my .02 cents

I spent a good bit of time on the phone with him. Looked up a carb for it on ebay.....sent him a link for it. If the carb doesn't fix it.....I'll offer to look it over.

Negative….How exactly did he discover it runs better with the filter off?

Nope.
You ported it.
You don't own it.
At this point I feel it's the owners responsibility.

Well *s-wordt…I’m too damn fat and miserable to drive home.

Final tally after 2 1/2 hrs…4 baskets of chips and salsa, 16 tacos (12 beef, 4 shredded chicken), and prob a gallon of sweet tea. And I need to finish some yard *s-wordt when I get home…that might just hafta wait ‘til tomorrow mornin.

Well I know when I wrecked my saw I appreciated you not washing your hands of it even though you were hella busy, but then I never asked you to cover it either.

I don't have problems.

They have all been rebuilt at some point, but if you use them, it's going to happen.

I've got a decent amount of snap-on tools and I really do like using them. I buy broken ones anytime I come across them and just get the rebuild kits from the snap on truck.
