Plastic.
Most of the 2500s in our fleet have had them leak.

We used to see that from time to time in 2001, 2002ish. And that was a gasket issue.
Anything 2007 and newer, I have not once had an intake itself cause an issue. And we run a *f-wordton of trucks through this shop.
Possible regional thing. Sometimes talking to guys at the training centers guys in certain areas see different problems for whatever reason.
You want to talk broken exhaust manifold bolts though...Ferd and Dudge have that issue too however.

Agreed. Surprised none of the Mopar guys jumped in.
Chevys are easier to work on, and they have more mechanic friendly amenities. Except S10s. FUGG them little annoying bastids!
Then theres the plastic intakes on the 6.0 Chebby.
Second thought, EVERYTHING new sucks to work on.
I stuffed built 350, with full length headers, in a first gen S-10. Tire cooker for days. Scary at highway speeds if you hammered down and it down shifted and broke loose. 2200 stall and a u joint wrecking shift kit. Fun times.

For those that don't read, this is gonna be too long. You're welcome.

Evenings. I made my stop past the border after work. See, since Founder's brewing sold out to big beer I lost my go-to. You Busch/Bud/Miller/Coors/Yuengling/lite/light/wtfeveryourlocalpissis think same alcohol but with real beer flavor. I'm drinking a lot less now because of it which is good, but when I can kick back I'd like a replacement. The river, a night in the shop, a GTG, etc. Nothing in state has really satiated the thirst for a casual beer. I have a trip up north next week so I thought I'd dip down into IN after work and pick up a couple from down there for the cooler. It turned into this.20200903_170018.jpg
It'll be nice to have some different stuff in the fridge for a while. Oh, and if any of you are still reading this and coming up to MI next weekend some Lizard King from Pipeworks in Chicago would be greatly appreciated.
