Happens all the time
my nephew is a 30+ year master plumber
While I helped him build his house a neighbor of his would stop begging him to plumb his house.
He didn't have time to mess with the guy's house
But being nice he took a day off work
And went through the guy's house and made up a complete material list.
And was going to plumb it after he got the materials
The neighbor said I can get the stuff cheaper
Just give me the list.
So he did
Then that piece of *s-word called and said I don't need you anymore
I just needed to know what to buy.
I'd have poured quikrete down the guy's drains if it'd been me.
