Finally drying out here. Yard work today. Set our animal trap at my daughter's neighbors house as they have a possum problem. Their dog killed 2 young possums in their backyard and they want the critters gone.

We may feel that our ancestors did unspeakable wrongs, and yes...wrongs were committed. But we didn't do any of these things, and have no reason to beat ourselves up over things that we didn't do.

What we can do is live our lives in such a way that we feel good about ourselves. We can reach out to others who need a hand. Most importantly, we can live in today. Not dwelling on the mistakes of our past, or concerning ourselves about what tomorrow may have in store for us.

Tree rats are chewing on my favorite Japanese red maple . Time to get these rodents educated in where not to be.

It’s not really difficult to be a decent human being. At the end of the day when we try to sleep. The things that keep us awake. Little voices telling us to do better, try to be a better human tomorrow than we were today. I do struggle myself. Understand people for their differences and accept that what someone else thinks of me is none of my business. If I’ve ever done anything wrong to anyone I promise I’ve felt bad for it. I’ve never gotten any pleasure from getting over on someone or making someone else sad. Just me. I hope others have some of that in their thoughts too. Not to get all green mile on everything. Just hard to accept when we see bad things happen or wrong doing it’s not a reason to give up hope for more good.
