My dogs got me this Harbor Freight IMG_20210630_164225044_HDR.jpg vacuum pump for father's day. Gonna put it to work and see if this $50 AC pump is any good. Sure beats $450 for a new Denso LOL. The last new one only lasted two years. I'm not a cheap old basurd just frugal ha,ha.

I bought the cheap rebuilt one from three towns over. He uses Denso cores so why not. 350 factory reman or 4 something new, um , no vs 125... no brainer.
It still works great on year three. Took it up the NJTP yesterday running 90 mph turning 3200. 2000 Camry.
I did buy a quality filled dryer that comes sealed and a fresh pulley. Don't buy the kit for 175 online or you get who knows what. Locals don't brother with a roached compressor most times. They buy from recycle yards or guys who pick there. Smart money with good rep sells reman parts.

The genius that fugged up the oil pump seal during the motor install also forgot to put oil back in the A/C system. It last four years, surprisingly. It swelled up inside one day going to the seashore and grabbed the case. It freed up but was toast by then. Not one drop of oil was in the system when I pulled it down for cleaning. Amateurs  nothing in the Evap.
