I'm going off Tom woods info. The flats/ bolts on the back of the housing are parallel to the yoke. So either will work.
Then yes you're pinion is already pointing up 8° (positive) and probably don't want to go much more. One of them special driveshafts is probably in your near future

Heres a few pics of mine. I know there are some differences, but the rear should be the same. The front is a coilover/4 link setup on yours, but I think steering is basically the same.
Here is the rear track bar extension bracket and wedge blocks. 0826201829.jpg 0826201827.jpg

Now the transfer case spacer and a look at rear shaft. Still running slip yoke.

Dropped Pittman arm.

Notice how the track bar and control arm are parallel at ride height.

Did you get sway bar extensions?

Good idea. Maybe if she can disassemble then reassemble my 490 without my help, I can cook her a nice dinner.
Have her check all the ball joints and tie rod ends on your vehicle
If good have her grease them if she doesn't need to replace them.
She can add grease nipples to many of them.
Have her change the oil and filter
And at least check all fluids.

You do realize that 90% of the oil change clowns in North America cannot do even 25% of what you suggested, right?

Man I miss my Jeeps, but I don't miss them. @beaglebriar don't forget to point that rear pinion up a tad extra for load. XJ leaf springs are soft AF.
I don't know what the lift springs are rated at but they are quite a bit stiffer than stock. I figure a few degrees up for axle wrap probably makes sense. There's still work to do but the TC drop was a definite improvement.

Is there a adjustable track bar set up for it? Maybe a drop bracket for the track bar? I know it's completely different set up, but my truck has a good sized drop bracket for the track bar. Oh and GFY bish.
