Good morning guys.
So the old black dog met his end yesterday, not far from where I photo'd him a few weeks ago. He was doing the same thing, soaking up some late morning sun. We had an Easter egg hunt Sat that turned into a bonfire and party into the night. One of the gals came back to collect her vehicle. Got in it and sat just long enough for Hank to wander behind her and lay down in the sun. My girlfriend had him for 14 years, and treated him like a king. He led as good of a life as any dog could. I had started plans to build him a ramp to get up and off of the porch easier. He had declined a lot in the last couple years, no doubt he didn't see or hear it coming, and he couldn't have bit the tire with any kind of force if he had. We put him at the end of a fence row near the bee hives. She plans to put a pollinator garden there. R.I.P. Hank you ODB.
