Had wondered about that. I've never used the stuff before. Where do you buy it? How easy is it to apply? What's clean up like? How durable is it? Would a coat of bedliner still be needed? I also wondered how easy it would be to shoot the $hit on under the trailer. I had it lifted up about as far as the dingo would raise it.
Yep yep...Lots of DIY kits at HD, Lowe’s or whichever local you prefer. I think you could seal with undercoat and be fine, might need to re-coat every couple of years but what’s to lose?
Watched a couple videos and just did a quick look at the kits. 330 bucks for a cheaper kit (froth pak) isn't going to cut it. I'll have less than half that into just gluing 1" panels up. I got excited there for a sec as this isn't a part of the project I'm really looking forward to. Oh well.Lots of DIY kits at HD, Lowe’s or whichever local you prefer. Friend of mine yrs ago converted an enclosed trailer into a small camper like you’re doing. He sprayed and rolled the bottom, except the frame square tubing, with Rhino liner and then cut out dimensionally and tacked welded like 1/2”-13 or so expanded metal across the bottom to keep rocks, debris, etc from banging up the bottom side of the floor. Don’t remember ever hearing any complaints or problems out of how he did it. He moved and haven’t seen him in a couple of years now but I’m sure he still has it. I think he had the lining and expanded metal on-hand and decided to go with what he had.Watched a couple videos and just did a quick look at the kits. 330 bucks for a cheaper kit (froth pak) isn't going to cut it. Many do that bare floor deal too. We had an all aluminum enclosed trailer. Same deal. They claimed the floor could be left under water for years without issue. Mmm hmmm. MTI ours was. Came from that big trailer sales place up north. USA trailer? Can't remember right off hand.Yep. Over all I'm pretty impressed with the build quality of the trailer. Everything has been straight and true with decent welds. However, they did do some terrible trailer manufacturing "stuff" like use cheap crimp on electrical fasteners and leaving that wood bare. I realize it's supposed to be marine grade ply but seriously that $hits still going to rot out in a heartbeat in our humidity.
Cut down that worthless damn pine while yer at it...First cut of the year for this guy

Damn slackers
This is how they did in the old days, using the trees as poles when they fenced the farms.Good afternoon guy'sView attachment 290833

The *a-holes still do it here torThis is how they did in the old days, using the trees as poles when they fenced the farms.
When I get old, the last thing I plan to do is take a round on my farm, beating a couple of nails in every tree. The *a-holes still do it here tor
Over all I'm fairly impressed. It's a Neo built in Sturgis. But yeah there's a reason marine play gets the living fork painted out of it in a boating application. Many do that bare floor deal too. I suppose I could always go the poor man's route...Looks like you’d probably need just under half one of those $330 kits, could use multiple of the smaller ones and save some.
