Same here man. The shacks are 800K now.Yeah we're very fortunate Kenny. Coastal properties are mostly out of reach to working folks like us now, but the family has owned this spot for 20 years odd now.
If you were a tyranny with that many miles you'd look a bit burnt to ;-)That tranny fluid looks pretty burnt.
Can't like that.Mornin' flooding hereView attachment 285316
According to people who supposedly are smarter and are paid more than me, the newer fluids pretty much appear burnt very quickly due to additives and rust inhibitors.
There was also more than likely some motor oil in that drain pan when I started the job.
Just because they are paid more don't make them smarter.
You seem pretty damn sharp to me sir.
My aunt has cancer that has spread to ger lymph nodes. Doctors are saying just a few days left. Lost a older neighbor that i used to golf with on Saturday morning. Life is way too short.Enjoy life while you can.

Local dealership swears by dexos in the 4/6/8 engine's to prevent sludging and buildup

What are you're thoughts?
As to ATF, Dexron6 and MerconLV are so similar it's not worth worrying about. One parameter was a couple of degrees C different I think. I use a Chevron Dex6 in my Ford 6R80 and the Honda.Dexos is the GM approved oil. Really, I don't see a problem with the oil itself. My problem is with the constantly increasing oil change intervals.
Nobody pulls the dipstick, and some oil life monitors go 5500-7000 miles before telling the driver it needs a change.
When it gets cold we have issues with low pressure on the active fuel management v8's.
Almost always they are at 4500-5000 since last change. People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them to shorten that to 4000 tops and even 3000 is what I prefer..
Almost every oil company has an oil with the Dexos rating.
So he's in the convection section ay? Flue gases against water in the tubes. For your enjoyment
He’s up about 200 feet just under the aperture slope
Then down to the lower slope and the throat of the boiler
