This will help you understand why tubes sound more pleasing to the ear. As they approach saturation they lose gain so they compress sound instead of clipping. That’s why they can be driven as hard as you want and it blow you away with 15 watts. 15 watt transistor will just start to sound like dammit before it reaches anywhere near its capabilities.

I knew what clipping is but I had no idea about the tube equipment not clipping. Cool deal.
