It's a type of magic that passed away with the designers of that generation.

Like the 90 model Toyota I had that got 51 mpg.
I call BS... maybe 48 ;)

Had a 77' Corrolla wagon bag of *s-word. Never failed, ate gears up in the 5 speed but my fault ;)

Got 35-38mpg with a nine foot Grunman flat bottom hanging out the back. Buzz and I crabbed and fished everywhere with that boat and I mean everywhere but the inlet or ocean. 4hp Merc. When chit was built right for the long hauls

The joey lives at the end of the ridge
He's been trapped at home
For over 6 day's
His dodge 4x4 blew up last summer.
We've had more than a dozen wrecks
This week People in 4x4s couldn't make it
Up or down the ridge
upload_2021-2-20_12-20-57.png
We heard the joey yesterday
Reving his 92 buick lesabre getting speed built up
He was going about 50 or 60mph on 4" of ice
When he passed my house
Headed to the appalachian distillery
For shine we suspect.
I never thought he'd make it back up the hill but he did
There's still a ford explorer at the bottom that couldn't make it.

It's the fukkinsmart meters. I don't have one told them to shove it. They come out to check mine which pisses the off.
They insisted on installing one of those wifi tracker meters here.
They were locked out for three years from my yard, mfers. They won. When I get solar panels they will never get one fuggin watt from me.

This big yellow thing showed up today in the sky.

Looks delicious Kenny
How was your day?

Missed the grey oyster mushrooms damnit.
They are wind burnt and frozen to the tree. Must have flushed in that 50* rain this past week, one day it was above freezing here, damn. They were mostly frozen to the tree last night. It's the fifth flush in two years and more coming... I see pins still.

If I could get speed built up to stay on top of the snow I could go anywhere I needed.
There was a bad storm in 95
We had no generator nobody did back then.
I had a 50.00 dodge omni with all season tires.
after the tree's that fell were cut out of the way
and power had been out 11 day's
I was sick of it.
And told my brother get your wallet we're going to the store.
It was 40 miles round-trip.
We passed dozens of stuck and abandoned 4x4 trucks
Guy's wanted me to pull them out of ditches
I had enough power to keep moving not pull anything.
Only a 7-11 was open
We were the only customers that day.

Actually the chevy citations went a little better when it was slick.
Modern fwd do not go like the 80s/90s cars did I don't know why
lower power engines but had more torque along with heavier engines
these high revving dual cam motors rely on the higher rpm to make power
where the older simple design relied on the torque
my uncle loved the dodge omni cars for work cars and he wasnt a small guy he was in the 350 to 400 pound range

My car dealer cousin called me in the 90s
He bought 12 plymouth horizons from
Some company that went out of business.
He said make an offer
Anything over 250.00 and you can have one
They only had 30k or so on them
Wish I'd have bought some.

My nephew has a separate meter on his
Detached garage we built
No heat
Only has a motion sensor light
For the driveway.
His bill 15 year's ago was 6.00 per month
Last month it was 380.00
He made them so mad apco hung up on him
Talked to my neighbors average 200.00 more
Than the previous month.
At least they're not as bad as dallas
Some woman had a 10000.00 bill
For a month of service.
Fugg that!
You need mulch piles and make biogas. Sell the damn mulch or grow something in it. Betting 200yds in a nice long pile would give you plenty of gas to burn. No joke that chit IS a reality now. Just like those old cars and trucks running on wood gas.

The deal with the Wi-Fi meter here is they can not rip you off anymore. They got pissed when our bill went down but would not produce the meter testing we requested in writing the day the last gear drive was removed. Only way we would agree to the update to this new tracker meter. The story was, sorry we missed it. That went for destruction and recycling. BPU refused to pursue it. We got ripped over three K we suspect when they did a meter swap three times in five years. The bill kept going up more not down. Was 140, 150 then up to 185 manual gear drives. The new digital meter has never went over 135 with higher rates and no changes here. Spring or fall months are 90 if I'm not running tools. We don't use very much considering we have no gas. Heat is a wood stove and a pedestal fan. A/C shakers add 30 for three months in the hot summer heat. Tiny little things they are. Now the shop in the pines would be 150-400 doing nothing but commercial rates applied there but not my problem now days... I'm outdoors. Peak times the shop is 700-800 welding in the winter plus 300 or more in fuel oil to maintain 50* all winter. 70* cost more and 200 more on fuel oil per month. 50 extra for the blower, rad and boiler gun. Circulator uses very little but it has four. That got shut down after a power failure and broken pipes. He would not fix anything so I put in a wood stove, fuggit. So much mold in the ceilings now I won't work there anyway.

Solar is what we need here on the house.

At what point do you start transferring the meat from the outside freezer to an inside one?

LOL. Kinda nice to be able to put it in the back of the van overnight so I could clean out the freezer this morning. Hitting 45F right now so it wouldn't last very well out today. Those are 2lb packs of hamburger and my parents took probably 40lbs of it and several steaks and roasts home with them.
