Tire manufacture is an interesting process ay. I'm sure Joe Schmoe thinks they pour hot rubber in one end and a tire spits out the other, which is true except for all the humans who had to cut and lay and place the various steel beads and composite layers necessary to build a car tire up before mechanisation takes over.
I use to work at a rubber factory and made rubber for Bridgestone cooper and Goodyear

Most of that plants process relies on people to build a tire.
Yes, they have machinery that does all of the heavy lifting, but the operator has to do their part, mostly because those are BIG tires.
Smallest rim diameter is 47". Largest they make there is a 63" rim size radial for the gold mining industry. Used on their dump trucks that run ore from the mines to the wash plant.
They run those trucks at 60 mph.

I recall you saying that. Brothers in black snot ay.
You should see some of the poor bastids that work on equipment in mixing there.
They have 3 mixers.
Only 25% of their rubber is used at that plant. The rest goes to the PSR plant, Bandag(for retreads), or other plants.

i use to have a picture of me where the only thing white was eyes and teeth
even with 4 showers a day the carbon black embedded in the pores of the skin
it was 2 weeks after i got out of there before it quit coming out of the pores
i worked there about 3.5 years and it ruined me doing factory work

Makeup remover. That takes it off.
Son works for Michelin at a plant near here.
He's a manager now. Over their power house(boilers), but started out on shifts in maintenance.

That OTR stuff is mad. Over in the mines in @Stihl working Hard land they actually hit a limit tho. The dump trucks had got so heavy that they were pushing a bow wave of earth up in front of the machine due to the ground pressure.

You get a shovel yet? You should see the mods I did on mine. Broke the handle again. Found a limb off a big ironwood I cut down. Having a long handle helps alot. Easy Peazy

Hopefully it's got a tarp on it.Knowing you it does.
