Good evening Todd. I’m sure glad I’m doing this job during the winter and not the summer or I would be wearing an AIR jacket. In the summer here 100 degrees outside would be 120 to n the area I’m working in today. But job security
Thank goodness for the air suit

We still running rs5000. I’ve not used any control logix. I hear it’s nice. Ya it’s usually not that easy lol
Yup. Ethernet everything.
Safety processors etc.
Remote I/o with ethernet saves a ton of cabling.
Also, drives are integrated now, and can "learn on the fly" from the processor after replacement.
Pretty Cool, and pretty annoying too.

So you don’t have any redundant parallel fiber loops between remote racks?

Nope.
Theyre overhead cranes.
Pretty Mickey Mouse.
Have a safety processor with hardwired safety relays/contactors as required.
Drives have safe power off/torque off provisions.
Thats about it.

Its the great thing about being here.
No worries about people really getting mad. Politics and religion will do that quicker than anything.

That’s cool. We have very long runs of fiber. Only thing I don’t like about that is the stupid media converters that fail pretty often

Yep, out of the distillation column.
Naptha, Kero, Light Gas Oil, Heavy Gas Oil and Residue.
Naptha to the Platinum Reformer for gasoline (petrol).
Kero for air planes after it is desulphurised.
LGO and HGO blended for pour and freeze and then desulphurised for diesel. Under 10ppm sulphur here.
Residue for further processing into fuel oil, vacuum cracked gas oil and bitumen and asphalt.
:eek:Wow way over my head
