Try the @huskihl method of running an oil change interval of a diesel oil through it.
The extra zinc and moly will help lube and it may free up the rings if that's the issue.

By the way, Kevin, did they get your daughter's oil burner squared away?
Rotella T conventional 15-40 is what I used. 4 or 5 times now it’s worked

She’s still doing an oil loss study through the dealer. She brings it in every 1k miles and they check/add as needed

You hooskie guys ever have issues with 350 tank vents?
After 5 or 6 cuts, it bogs, dies at idle and generally acts like a twat.
Won't restart unless I crack fuel cap.
Then repeat process.

Try gutting the vent see if that helps.

Calling it names and swearing profusely at it didn't do *s-word, so I'll try your route.
It ran fine this morning when my Dad used it, but it was on smaller diameter wood.

Note, this isn't the thread for saying you have small wood. Lol
