So....the 350 Chevy short block I assembled for Blake the other day is coming back apart.

I was just about to start putting the heads on and realized that the deck height was off.

Turns out it has a large journal 327 crank.

Safety at commercial jobs here is a joke. Pit openings with no guard rails. Just plywood. Nothing like working in the pit and seeing a scissor lift tire come through the plywood.

I take it your talking about a non union workplace.I agree 100% safety is always put second to profits .I have always worked on commercial union jobs no issues on safety there ,everyone has the right to come home from work safety,just my 2 cents worth

Brick layers were garbage. This was taken after they cleaned up. Superintendent on the job wanted me to go get a pump fron united rental to pump the 18” of water from the pit. Yea...

They got hit with remobilization fee.

That’s disgraceful the builder should hold back money until that crap is cleaned up .In my 35 years being in the building industry I have never see anything that bad even before it was cleaned
