I also have a solo 665 that Carl is porting the stock top end as well. He has the saw and is playing around with ideas. He has a runner right now but not sure if he wants to try another idea. I told him to take him time on it.

I'd be interested to see what he comes up with on on the 65cc top end. I have a 665/681 he did and it's a real runner.

I've got a 10mm 044 here that's staring me down.

Bit of a junkyard dog, but looks cool.

Slant finned, west coast cover, big Dawgs and a 3/4 wrap.

Needs a full rebuild, case split, bearings, and of course a new OEM piston and some aluminum removed from the cylinder.

Tempting.

Sucks that I have no Trade Fodder. I only have 3 saws I use now, the 55xpg for sale, and the nos 288xp and 372xpg.

Brian, this is a great idea and @Canadian farm boy has offered to do just that for a reasonable price but I don't think that is the right answer for me. No matter what I do with this saw I don't see me owning it a year from now so I think it probably make the most sense to let it go now in the current condition and the next owner can do as they please with it.
