He'll get that out of his system soon enough and wish he would have set this back. ;)
I would be all over that saw as a shelf queen if I didn't own the precious :)
Most recent saws I got were a bunch of stock 026/ms260s, 084, 056 super and a pair of 056 race saws, a p61 race saw and a new in box 346xp oe, so my interests are still varied, but I really prefer to run fast saws in cants :flamethrower2:

Okay, this is the saw I picked up yesterday. I have had some PM's and other interest in it since I posted about it so I think the only "fair" thing to do is to make it "available" publicly and see what happens.

I don't need this saw but I do need another saw, preferably in the 70CC range and oh yeah... A Stihl.

Let me know what you have that you would like to trade on this one and maybe I will make a deal and let someone else enjoy it...

The history as I know it. Bought from my favourite local dealer about 10 years ago. Brought in to the store by the uncle of the man who originally bought it after getting it through the nephew's estate. I was at the dealer picking up some other stuff and asked about any upcoming specials as I needed a larger than 50cc saw. He asked what happened to the last two I bought and well... Anyway, no great deals on 441C-M's right now (yes still available in Canada regular and arctic on the shelf...) but they just took in a used saw on consignment. He takes me in the back room and shows it to me on the shelf a beauty of an 044 Arctic. I ask him to put my name on it for a day and I would get back to him.

P.S. If you don't know the @Jon1212 purchasing method of bringing donuts to the shop you should learn. I don't bring these guys the fancy ones but their eyes do light up every time I walk in with them as I did yesterday...

I take it by the clue in your "history" paragraph that the 70cc saw you are looking for is a 441cm. Is that correct?

Okay, a couple things I need to get off my chest.
1. Thank you all for your interest in this saw. When I picked it up I knew it was a beauty but I didn't know there would be this much interest.

2. There have been many fair and generous offers made, if I didn't get a chance to reply directly to your offer I am sorry. It wasn't that I didn't think it was fair, it may just not have been what I was looking for and it has been hard to respond to all the interest.

3. My plan was that I needed a saw larger than 50cc for some of the cutting I need to do this summer. My long term plan is to own a Masterminded MS462 but no ones knows when that will happen... I am not a guy that wants to have multiple saws in each size, that just isn't me. I am a part of this community as much for the people as I am for the saws. I just want the ones I have to run to be the baddest ass versions of the ones they are around and hang out with you crazy M'fers.

4. Being in Canada some times sucks. The last 2 saws I had shipped from the U.S. each cost me over $150 in taxes to get released from the P.O. so even if I make a good trade I will be out of pocket some more on the saw.

That leaves me with a different decision than all this started out to be. If you feel I am being a Bish about this I am sorry, I don't want you thinking I am being an ass about this, it is not that at all. At least I hope not...

Anyway I need to make a decision... I think my best options are:

A. Keep it and run it, yes it's clean and pretty but not NOS or anything and hase been used before...

B. Put a cash price on it and just sell it...

Again I am sorry for dragging this one my intention is not to keep it going so that people raise their offers. This is not an auction and will not necessarily go to the highest bidder.

Thanks for reading my ramble assuming you just didn't look at it and say TLDR to yourself...

Gary

B- sounds best to me, then when them 462's come out in a few months, you can get what you really want....

A few months until the saw comes out but I did say it was coming from @Mastermind so likely some time next year...
