Yep had white spark so that tells me coil right? I can't believe no one has jumped on this!

Yeah white spark is weak. Good chance it's the coil. Did you disconnect the kill wire first. A short in the line or switch can make a weak spark too

I love 1991 262s with KS 87 setup. Did you check make sure fuel nipple isn't loose.... Was a fuel source issue on mine pressed in new one from walbro all good. Sounds like coil. Stop switch just stopped working on mine had to stop with choke. Will look into it... Needs a new switch for a while now... Those seem plentiful. Dan should I just buy this and we will share somehow?

Would certainly retain it's value! I'll try and jump one way or the other off the fence by tonight
If I buy it you can certainly borrow it to play the carb etc. One of my favorite saws... and my buddy Tom wants one. I think my brother will end up hanging on to the one Mason found in CT.

Well title says it I'm selling my 262. Its a 1991 with a KS jug and hda 87 carb. It has a new meteor piston, seals, clutch bearing, pin bearing, gaskets, base delete squish at .019 some new av mounts, new spark plug, plus some other spare parts. Saw it having some fuel delivery problems I installed a new carb kit but maybe missed something. Will include a new carb kit and a new fuel line unless I get around to installing them. I just have to many irons in the fire with 2 businesses, kids and my normal household projects. Would like $325 shipped if Im out of line let me know.

You double check the air gap?

I'm probably gonna snag the saw. Just sent a PM with an offer I'm hoping is better than what the guy on AS offered. It can be to further enhance my education and Dan can mess with it or use carb for more experiments etc!
