Life without an MS241 is just not a life worth having….lol. We still get them but I have no idea what they go for these days. My supplier is on vacation now and I’ve not been dealing with selling much lately. The old tree service keeps me wicked busy…

Probably be some porters and a few other guys looking for the ms 400.1 when they become available so they can do some testing. Supposedly spring 2025 in certain areas.

66.8cc for the MS400 vs 62.6cc for the MS363
Not the new one that’s the old ms400 that’s based off the 362. Ms 363 is same displacement as a ms 400.1 that just came out but has adjustable carb and open port cylinder. Same chassis design as a 400.1 which is a stupid name that’s only going to cause confusion for the dealers that barely know there’s different sizes of saws little lone two completely different saws with nearly the same model number.

My guess is the 363 won't be available in the us market. But might be fun to build a 363 with the 400.1 piston and cylinder. If it is possible with just swapping parts. That way you could get an adjustable carb if you are so inclined.

Not sure that will work I do believe the cases have changes to the basic design for transfers like a 362 and 400. Open port on 363 and front fed on 400.1 I think, this isn’t to say the 363 coil, flywheel and carb won’t work to do a manual carb version. Personally as they refine the mtronic system more in my opinion you’d be going backwards. Everything can have failures and in current versions I’m not sure the mtronic module fails anymore than a regular ignition module does and that’s the only major expensive part on one.
