Not sure this is the case so far none of the tree service saws have had any starting issues not related to fuel. The heat hasn’t given them any issues on the mtronic saws, John has 2 400’s a bunch of 362’s, 500i and only 201 tcm’s for top handles now. They have ran and started well from -20 in winter to 100 above over last 15 years or so. He’s had ms-362’cm saws since they came out.Sorry! my intent was not to single out your comment rather a general reply to the fuel being used not being an issue in non AT saws.
Perhaps it does have something to do with AT/MT saws running leaner and thus hotter as
farminkarman pointed out.
As stated previously I am about feed up with my 572XPG hot start issues, at this point even a non ported 462 or 500i is looking good. Not sure this is the case so far none of the tree service saws have had any starting issues not related to fuel. Definitely hard to make money with a saw that won’t runAs stated previously I am about feed up with my 572XPG hot start issues, at this point even a non ported 462 or 500i is looking good.
Just curious...when your 572 won't restart hot, have you pulled the plug?As stated previously I am about feed up with my 572XPG hot start issues, at this point even a non ported 462 or 500i is looking good.
Some places it’s frowned upon but here it’s mostly looked upon as free bumps keeping the sale thread near the top of the list. You’re good bud.Apologies for derailing a for sale thread.
Especially a new 362 that a goof ball sets on the dozer tracks and then the operator takes off.Definitely hard to make money with a saw that won’t run
Newish stock saw probably less than 50 tanks. saw started hard when hot but always eventually started, the final nail was Fri afternoon high 90s saw refueled in the shade fuel can in the shade 3 guys tried restarting the saw to no availJust curious...when your 572 won't restart hot, have you pulled the plug?
Edit: I'm asking because I haven't had hot restart issues with 572's...but they were/are ported and also had the fuel tank vent modified. I have had issues with the early 550's and 562's.
Have you tried duel porting the muffler, and open up factory exhaust if you haven’t those, 550, 562,572 , are to restricted from factory, if anything to get the heat out of engine,Newish stock saw probably less than 50 tanks. saw started hard when hot but always eventually started, the final nail was Fri afternoon high 90s saw refueled in the shade fuel can in the shade 3 guys tried restarting the saw to no availwe did not pull the plug I grabbed a non AT saw to finish the afternoon and have not picked up the 572 since. I have had good luck with my 592s but getting too old
to drag them around the woods for felling.
I don't blame you! I have wondered if too much pressure builds up in the tank on the 572 and causes the carb to flood the saw.Newish stock saw probably less than 50 tanks. saw started hard when hot but always eventually started, the final nail was Fri afternoon high 90s saw refueled in the shade fuel can in the shade 3 guys tried restarting the saw to no availwe did not pull the plug I grabbed a non AT saw to finish the afternoon and have not picked up the 572 since.
